Glenn, Hi, How are you? I love how the tree limbs intersect in the middle to form a Nature "X" I truly love your image as is, but my creative mind was wondering how it would look if you erased the people that weren't on the path? It might look even more powerful to the flow of perspective.
@Ken Hello, Ken, I'm fine. I plan on getting back out to Oak Alley to capture that line of trees without the visitors wandering by. I also want to shoot from the other end in order to capture the house in the distance. That image is already quite familiar (did you ever see the movie, Hush, Hush, Sweet Charlotte)? But as for taking them out of this shot, I don't know. I find a certain beauty in their configuration and their inter-relatedness. I quite like these serendipitous "accidents" that happen in picture-making that prevent the photo from being "as planned". You know what I mean?
Superbly processed, this is a wonderful shot Glenn. I always find that the human element not only adds interest to the picture, it also gives a sense of scale.
This one is excellent, for the play with scale of tourism/tree. A critical-conceptual one to me...like a reflexion about scale of times and spaces, don't you think?
