When I was a teenager in Miami, I would love to go to the high school baseball diamond when nobody was around, lie on my back on the pitcher's mound, and take photos of the sky. It cheers me up to see these early morning clouds of yours. This is for you: http://picasaweb.google.com/newleaflouisiana/Georgia#5448640395863015106
I like this one too and I still can't tell you why. I would love to hear Jerry's full comment on this one. Is it good because the sort of pyramidal form is still an abstract one compared to the Yuca tree?
I have lots of questions. I know that liking or disliking a picture has a lot to do with subjectiveness, but I enjoy hearing the words of people who understand and study photography.
An Internet buddy of mine who writes the Kyklops blog once posted a photograph taken by his young daughter. It was an image of a clear blue sky. I was so astonished at the sight of a plain expanse of blue, I started watching out for such a sight myself. Saturday morning when I walked outside and noticed the sky and those cotton-candy clouds, I immediately ran back inside to grab the camera and started shooting. I'm glad you got a kick out of this one.
Sorry I haven't been around your blog much lately; the last two weeks I've been in China and, believe it or not, your blog is blocked there. Don't know exactly what you did to piss of the ruling Party, but they don't seem to favor your website. :-) Anyway, I look forward to catching up.

@Cláudia
I'm with you on this one. I would give anything for more of Jerry's reasoning. He does remarkable work. You can see some of them here.
What a daring composition. I like it very much.

China blocks me?! Hmmm. So does the New Orleans Roman Catholic Archdiocese! Double Hmmm.
Lovely!
